Labels

This week is looking at the labels of food you buy. While I am a big advocate for you making all your meals from scratch, I also acknowledge there are times where we just need to buy something in a packet.Understanding how to read food labels and consequently making healthier choices is a HUGE step towards improving your gut health and your overall health.

There is a great book and app called The Chemical Maze. It is not entirely up to date with latest research and publications, but it is pretty damn close.

Breakfast

Implement 1 new breakfast item this week

It could be a juice, smoothie, smoothie bowl, bircher muesli, coconut yoghurt and blueberries, zucchini fitters, spinach and egg omelette, quick eggs, healthy pancakes, granola & yoghurt. etc

If you pick the bircher muesli, you can make it the night before and pop into glass jar in the fridge. In the morning it is ready to go!
