We all have different reasons for choosing to go gluten free. It could be that you're dealing with hormone issues, digestive problems, infertility, or skin issues. Or it could be something entirely different..
Or you have been diagnosed with Celiac disease, where you probably feel that going gluten free isn’t a choice!!
I know for some of my clients that being diagnosed may have given them some answers as to why they are experiencing certain things but they are definitely NOT happy to have to follow a gluten free diet.
The thought of being restricted is not fun!
Its actually very daunting to overhaul your whole diet.
10 years ago we had to do it too. When I say we, I mean our whole family. It was a big task. It was challenging at first, you make a lot of errors and then, over time, you make the changes more easily.
One thing that was important through our journey was the need to heal the gut and improve our overall health and wellbeing.
This is one of the reasons I decided to get qualified and now specialise in supporting my clients to go gluten free.
One thing I see frequently, not just with my clients but also within the community, is the swap from the diet people were eating, over to packaged, highly processed foods.
What starts to happen is other intolerances and health issues develop.
Before you know it they are now dealing with other symptoms which is very frustrating after thinking that eating gluten free was the answer you may have been looking for.
Many times, the diet gets more and more restricted, until you are left feeling extremely overwhelmed, and in some cases undernourished!
This is not what you want to become, so changing your eating habits now, to healthier options is soooo rewarding.
There is a process to go through, where I teach you the healthier way of a gluten free diet, because seriously, if you swap to packaged gluten free food your gonna face a ton of other health issues down the track.
I also teach you the correct way to read food labels, to know when certain foods not only contain dodgy ingredients but also include additives, MSG and chemicals!! YUCK!! You want to stay away from that!!
I teach my clients where and how to shop for the best quality produce and real food items.
How to cook from scratch without all the hard work and hours in the kitchen.
Food that actually tastes good and doesn’t have you feeling like your missing out! - I love it when my clients say to me “Melissa, I had no idea eating gluten free can taste so good!”
Yes, eating gluten free can taste sensational, if you know what you're doing. It can also change your life.
The energy shift, moods balancing out and all the other things you learnt to deal with, you no longer have to!
We also work on a key component. Gut health.
