Morning rituals..

As most of you know I use essential oils, specifically doTERRA essential oils on a daily basis. My hubby and kids also use essential oils everyday to support their health and wellbeing too!

I live my day by my morning, so getting up extra early so there is no rushing and ensuring I have incorporated all of my healthy and holistic rituals each day ensure's how the whole day will go.

This is what you will see me doing on most days... 

As soon as I wake up, before getting out of bed, I drink 1 glass of water with a drop of lemon essential oil. This provides me with a natural cleanse and also wakes up my enzymes! I also take doTERRA's Terrazyme which supports this too.

After stretching, movement of some sort, usually boxing, bootcamp or a jog, I love to dry brush before hopping in the shower. I use a good quality dry brush, mine is from Nourished Life and I add a drop of tea tree oil to the brush and starting from my feet I work up my body in brushing strokes to my heart area. Another way to remove the toxins from my skin and body.

After my shower I love to use the Verage kit form doTERRA. This natural 4 part system, which mainly consists of essential oils leaves my skin looking and feeling AMAZING!

I like to incorporate oil pulling at least a few times a week. Using a good quality organic, cold pressed sesame oil or extra virgin coconut oil, with a drop of OnGuard and peppermint essential oil, I swish it around in my mouth for 5 - 10 minutes before I spit it out (in the bin!).

Thinking about my day and what needs to be done, sometimes creating lists or journaling is a great tool if your feeling heavy in the morning. 

Without fail, I take the Life Long Vitality pack of health supplements from doTERRA, their number 1 selling product every day. With a multivitamin, top quality fish oil and the cellular energy complex, it covers all bases! My moods and energy has been my biggest tell tale signs of what these supplements do for me.

I enjoy my morning coffee made from organic coffee beans, brewed on the stove and then served up with some Bullet Proof Brain Octane oil mixed in. This stuff is what makes my brain fire in the morning! The ideas, energy and motivation means I can get alot done before 6am!!

We enjoy having the diffuser going as soon as we wake up and our fav oil combo to diffuse at the moment is spearmint and lime or peppermint, lime and rosemary. Spearmint is the oil of confident speech, inspires clarity of thought and confident verbal expression. Lime is the oil for zest of life. It instills courage and cheer in the heart and reminds us to be grateful for the gift of life... a powerful combo for first thing in the morning!

I also love to roll on the easy air vapour stick to support improved and deeper breathing. It is also very invigorating and gives you a bounce in your step!

We really enjoy our daily smoothie and while we like to switch it up, we also have a fav.. Spinach, bananas, chia seeds, abc spread, hemp seeds, hemp protein powder,a drop of peppermint and lemon essential oil. Delicious!

Prepping for dinner is important so that meal times are easy and stress free. There is nothing like knowing that you don’t have to figure out what is for dinner! I like to use the slow cooker alot and usually fill it with some meat and lots of veges. We like to add some bone broth for gut health and a few drops of the herbaceous essential oils like thyme and basil.

Personal development is important to me so I usually incorporate this in my morning routine if I still have time. I love listening to motivational speakers, audiobooks on personal development and Ted Talks. 

Morning routines can set your day up in the most positive of ways. Switching your mindset, doing the actions that support your health, developing the self care practices, empower you to live healthier and happier!!
